Closing cycles: a guide for a new beginning.

Writer's picture: Red ΖΩΗRed ΖΩΗ

Closing cycles is like turning a page in the book of our life. It is a natural and necessary process to grow and evolve. However, we often cling to what no longer serves us, avoiding the pain and uncertainty that change implies. To start a new year, we would like to share some tips with you.

In this article we would also like to thank all the people who have accompanied us this year, thanks to their articles and collaborations in our social networks we have grown significantly. For us the purpose is to be able to grow in community, in network, in cooperation, so that we can all somehow achieve our goals. Thanks to each one, here we will share the message of our team who accompanied us throughout the year and whose experience with us has been a boost for their projects.

Why is it important to close cycles?

Closing cycles is a fundamental psychological process that involves letting go of situations, relationships or stages in our lives that have served their purpose. Just like the seasons of the year, our life goes through different phases, and it is essential to recognize when a cycle has ended in order to open ourselves to new experiences and opportunities.

Some of the benefits of closing cycles:

Releases energy: By letting go of the past, we release emotional energy that we can invest in the present and future.

Facilitates growth: Closing cycles allows us to open ourselves to new experiences and opportunities.

Improves emotional health: Attachment to situations or people from the past can generate stress, anxiety and depression.

Tips and Tools for Closing Cycles:

  • Acknowledge and accept your emotions: Don't hold back. Allow your emotions to flow. Sadness, anger or confusion are part of the process.

  • Allow yourself to feel: Don't avoid pain. By embracing it, you will be able to heal faster.

  • Accept the past: You can't change what happened, but you can change how you interpret it.

  • Recognize and accept your emotions: Don't hold back. Allow your emotions to flow. Sadness, anger or confusion are part of the process.

  • Forgive: Forgive yourself and others. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.

  • Be grateful: Acknowledge what you learned from the experience.

  • Perform a closing ritual: It can be writing a letter, doing a symbolic ceremony or simply spending time in nature.

  • Visualize the future: Imagine what your life will be like after closing this cycle.

  • Seek support: Talk to a friend, family member or therapist.

  • Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness will help you to be present in the moment and manage your emotions.

  • Take care of yourself: Get enough sleep, eat well and exercise regularly.

Closing cycles is a gradual process. Don't put pressure on yourself to get immediate results. Be patient with yourself and celebrate each small step.

Here we want to share with you a resource that will be very useful to close this year and start a new one with a much clearer vision of your goals and projects.

The wheel of life is a very useful visual and reflective tool to identify areas of our life that require attention and balance. It is an excellent way to begin to close cycles and set new goals.

And so it is” is one of my favorite songs and I invite you to listen to its track.

And so it s… another year.

We have all likely cried, laughed, been angry, surprised, grateful, nervous, excited and much more. But (given the many twists & turns of the year) have you asked your mind, body, and soul for what it might have picked up from this last year?

closing

One of all-time my favorite exercises this time of year is produced by a Hungarian company, is available in many languages, and really invites us to think through the year we are finishing in order to help posture ourselves for the year to come. It is not rocket science and yet, most of us will find it very difficult to create the time and space to do it. We all get thee same 24 hours in a day and we all decide how to live them out. Yes, we have responsibilities, and yes, we have emergencies (I am writing this in an emergency room waiting room!), but we have time for this. Making time is about committing yourself to the incredibly important idea that you deserve and can do this for yourself.

It is easy to label individuals as selfish or entitled for naming their priorities, highlighting a boundary, and even saying no. But, how often have we had that opportunity and chosen something or someone before ourselves?

This is your reminder from us at Zoe Network that you matter, that you can do this for yourself, you can carve out those 30 seconds to read a few questions and carry those questions with you throughout the day - as you change the diapers, as you go from patient to patient, as you run your errands. While it will be great if you could do this in one sitting, do not limit yourself to that. As one year closes and another begins, Gift yourself with time to review lessons from 2024 and reflect on what you saw and did not see. Notice where you spent energy. How does this feel to you as you reflect? Is there discomfort/ pride/ gratitude…?

What might you want to shift your attention to in this upcoming year? Identify what you would like to feel a year from now (growth, success, satisfaction, joy, etc) and think of when you have felt that, what were you doing, how can that be sought out this year, how can you make space for it? Release the idea that life is happening to you and know that while the universe conspires in your favor. You are creating meaning out of the world you constructing - be a wise, be open, be intentional, and be curious.

And have a very happy new year filled with the double the blessings you bring to others.

ANNABELLA ROIG

Greetings and Blessings. My name is Annabella. I am grateful for the opportunity to offer these words of gratitude for my collaboration with the Zoe Network in 2024.

I was honored to be invited to participate as a content creator and blogger from the inception of the Zoe Network.

As a relationships and life coach launching my practice, I stand for empowering women throughout their lifespan. My mission aligns with Zoe Network's: to equip and empower our audience to be the best version of themselves and get the best out of life. I am fully aligned with this work and have been excited to see it grow and expand across various social media platforms.

In all honesty, when I started blogging, I had no idea what it entailed. I wondered how it differed from essay writing and what I should say. In service to our audience, my early blogs were vulnerable and candid. I wrote about experiencing my first Mother's Day without my mother, navigating a difficult breakup and its accompanying grief, and processing the emotions around approaching my 65th birthday.

I was very green to all of this. Technology used in this way was new to me. While I had just developed and launched my own website, it wasn't yet what I envisioned, though I struggled to articulate what was missing. I didn't even have an Instagram account.

With support from the Zoe Network, posting and reading each other's blogs, and understanding the message we collectively promote, I began to grow both personally and in my own authentic expression. Through feedback and support from my friend and colleague Alex Zareth—the brain, passion, and vision behind all things ZOE—and the amazing team members: Carolina Cuervo, our Communications and Strategy Coordinator and creative guru, and Olla Muheenat Temilola, Zoe's highly talented and conscientious Project Manager, I felt supported as I developed my practice and became more confident in expressing my intentions for myself, others, and Life itself. Now, as I revise my website and launch my coaching Instagram account, I feel more assured in my voice.

In closing, I am heartened and excited by the growth of the Zoe Network (www.zoenetwork.mx). I celebrate its new programs, New Moon meditations, and expanding presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.

I look forward to Zoe’s continuing growth and the blessings it bestows on so many.  I am grateful for, and congratulate, the super capable, creative, kind and caring team, and its growing cadre of collaborators.  I am sincerely wishing all a wonderful end of year and holiday celebrations.

Blessings to all as we close 2024 and embark on our next phase of collaborations.

Hi community, I'm Carolina, I have worked with Zoe since 2023, and for me it has been a continuous learning experience, teamwork, strategic communications, translating texts into images and being able to send them with inspiring phrases and advice to our followers, has given me in every process of my life valuable tools, deep reflections and learning from other perspectives.

This year 2024 was very special for me, because I learned the great value of perseverance, I have always been a very dispersed person, and I have worked on many issues and in many areas, but especially I have always accompanied processes of learning, personal development, spirituality and creativity.

This has taught me to be versatile and to be able to accommodate very easily in any situation or need, but the work that we developed from Zoe this year, has demanded me a lot in the permanence, constancy, set the pace, and not make big changes, on the contrary keep moving forward with small steps.

That is why I believe that this community, which is growing, that we are feeding and nourishing ourselves thanks to our Central Axis Alexandra, likewise, like the Dandelion, we are sharing from our work, our home and our habits, a different way of building community and giving everyone the message that feeds the heart of each one, like the flower, its petals go with the wind carrying seeds to other places to continue sowing the life that we believe with all our faith, that serving others will always be the best prayer.

I am very excited about what is to come, I would like to continue for a long time more, giving the best of myself to each collaborator and in each of the forms of communication.

Thank you... .may it be a blooming year for all of you!!!!!
